 Hello, dear friends welcome to happy holi 2022. Today i'm going to tell you a short essay on my favourite festival holi Holi is my favourite festival. Holi is the most popular festival of India Holi is known as the festival of color. We celebrate this festival in the month of Phalguna generally holy festival comes in the month of March.

At this festival, people forget all their sorrows and love each other with new beginnings. This festival marks the end of the winter season and the start of spring season. Holi festival is celebrated in different ways in different states in some states it is celebrated for one day. In some other states, it is celebrated for two days in most of the states holy festival is celebrated for two days.

There is a great legend behind the first day of Holi festival there was a demon named hiranyakashipo. Whose son brad was a great devotee of lord Vishnu but his father wanted his son to consider him as god and not to worship the lord. Vishnu but Prahlad continued to worship lord Vishnu so hiranyakashipo took help from his sister Holika. Who had the boon of not burning in a fire when she caught Prahlada in the fire nothing happened to Prahlada instead Holika was burned in the fire? It is believed that Lord Vishnu saved his great devotee Prahlada from Holika. 

So on the first day of Holi people light bonfires this is known as Holika Dahan. The second day of Holi is called rangbari holi where people play with natural. Or organic coloured powder children play with curry and watercolour holi festival symbolizes. The victory of good over evil in  Mathura and Vrindavan holy festival is very famous and it is known as Ditmar holi on this day people prepare differently

Kinds of delicious sweets especially gujjia and savouries holy festival spreads love and brotherhood among us it brings joy and happiness. On this festival people forget all sorts of negativity from life and stay united thank you, everyone, I hope you have learned a lot about holi.
